Incoming mobility
Studying abroadIf you are a student from one of our partner schools, you can come to study at Institut Paul Bocuse for a semester, in the framework of our exchange programs: ERASMUS+ programs and bilateral agreements with our NO-EU partner schools.
The call for application and the selection procedure are managed directly by your school and you can request the relevant information from the international relations department. Once you have been selected and nominated by your school, we contact you directly, to accompany you in the process before your arrival in Lyon.
Academic calendar
You can join one of our semesters:
- Winter semester: from early September to mid-December
- Spring semester: from early January to mid-April
Teaching Languages
Depending on the programs, you can integrate our classes in French or English.
Credits (ECTS)
Each proposed program represents 30ECTS.

Housing
Exchange students can ask for a room in Clipper, our students’ residence. Availabilities are limited and we also support you in the research for a personal accommodation.
Health Insurance
Student citizens of the European Union must obtain a European health insurance card.
Non-European students must have taken out health insurance and liability insurance which covers the entire period of stay in France.
Visa
Students who are not European citizens must obtain a visa from the nearest French Embassy or Consulate. Normally, the procedure for obtaining the visa needs an acceptance letter which we will send to you as soon as possible after the acceptance of your nomination.
